Clinical Supervision
Clinical supervision is offered face to face. Online and telephone supervision is offered to remote areas or those with special needs
Michele: provides supervision to mental health practitioners, nurses, midwives, counsellors, family therapists, maternal & child health nurses and psychologists
Rebecca: Provides supervision to educators child care and primary school, NDIS clinicians who work with children, mental health practitioners working with children aged 2 - 15 years old.
What is clinical supervision ?
Clinical supervision is a formal meeting between two people of designated roles Supervision aims to assist with reflective practice, exploration of case material, problem solving, exploration of ethical issues and skill development linking research to practise. Clinical supervision is about the clinician, their work and learning needs
How long does it take?
A supervision session is 50 minutes duration. Frequency will depend on the needs of the supervisee and can be discussed at the first phone contact or during your first session
What to expect?
The meeting will take place at the supervisors’ office. Confidentiality and privacy is maintained. Supervisees are asked to bring case material, ideas, concerns and any difficulties to sessions as a basis for discussion.
What can it help with?
Supervision will assist you to feel professionally supported, personally understood and offers emotional containment as we work together in a safe place where you can talk freely about your work. Clinical supervision can enhance confidence, competence and skills and ensures that work with clients is safe, ethical and competent. Supervision can assist teachers to increase their understanding of child development and cognitive, developmental and mental health conditions that may impact children's learning in the classroom. Teacher supervision is an exploratory place where strategies can be provided that promote inclusivity of all children in the classroom and reduce difficult behaviours. Teachers will learn about new classroom strategies, classroom or environment presentation and strategies to enhance teacher child relationships.
